Introduction
Pastoral Council
Comprised of the pastor, the parish staff, and nine parish representatives. The council coordinates pastoral planning to promote the mission of the parish. The council serves two main functions; as representatives of the parish, offer advice on all parish matters, and also this body is tasked with developing long range plans for St. Mary’s.

The Pastoral Council serves as representatives of the parish in advising the Pastor on important decisions. This role as the voice of the parish requires the Pastoral Council to aware of your needs and where you stand on the issues. Please contact any of the council members below.

Building and Grounds
The Building & Grounds sub-committee is responsible for oversight of building and grounds and needed repairs. This group advises the finance council and pastor on present and future physical needs of the church. It is largely because of this group that we can all enjoy our beautiful, well-kept facilities and land.

Ministry of Care
Volunteers from St. Mary’s visit parish members who are homebound or in nursing homes. Some have an ongoing relationship with one particular person and visit weekly or monthly. Others are involved with ministry of care activities on a particular day each month.

Ministry of care activities include:
-Bringing communion to homebound parishioners on the first Friday of the month.
-Leading a rosary at Sauer Memorial Home on the second Thursday of the month.
-Gathering parishioners who are residents at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare for prayer and a social on the fourth Friday of the Month.

Benevolence Committee
The St. Mary’s Church benevolence fund provides short-term help for St. Mary’s parish families who are experiencing periods of financial hardship. These funds, raised in various ways, assist members of our parish facing unique situations of hardship or extraordinary circumstances as a result of extending discipleship and ministry to others in need. Requests will be reviewed by an appointed parish team for processing according to parish policy. Applications are now available through the parish office, or on this page, below. Please contact the secretary for further information.
Respect Life Ministry
The Mission of the Respect Life Ministry is to affect the hearts and minds of St. Mary's parishioners on the value of human life. Through prayer, education, and discussion, members will shape an informed Catholic conscience. We counter the growing culture of death by promoting the life issues of our time, through the peaceful and loving means of individual and group actions. We promote the sacredness of life, from the sunrise of conception to the sunset of death.

Because we are being bombarded every day by messages in the media about all of the above topics, the following web sites can help you tap into a wealth of knowledge. Challenge yourself to become informed about the many facets of pro-life issues. Be an informed Catholic and be pro-active.
